Construction Business Developer

Position Description

Asa Carlton Incorporated is looking for a full-time Business Developer with a dedicated focus on growing our commercial construction business. This position will require reaching out to our major markets including retail, medical, office, restaurant, and hospitality. Asa Carlton is founded and built around program and multi-site opportunities providing this position with a strong operations team to handle clients with projects nationwide.


Responsibilities


* Cultivate and close relevant projects and associated service opportunities with strategic end-user customers, as well as open market bid opportunities.

* Meet directly with clients to establish needs and drive the overall sales process.

* Work with Preconstruction to execute the growth, development, sales, and marketing of all solutions offered by Asa Carlton.

* Create market awareness for Asa Carlton through networking, presentations, and attendance at trade association meetings, as per Asas strategic growth plan.

* Work strategically on targeted new construction projects.

* Provide information on customer needs, competitors, and market conditions to maintain Asa Carlton's strategic plan current, while executing the strategies to meet plan milestones.

Requirements


The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. * Frequently required to perform administrative and professional work using writing tools and electronic media

* Required to be ambulatory to move around freely between buildings, and between levels within buildings

* Occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds

* While performing the duties of this job, the associate may be occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals associated with office work

* Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus

* The noise level in the work environment is usually low


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities


* Good communication abilities, both verbal and written, are essential.

* Analytical skills and flexibility in dealing with a changing environment is required.

* Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions.

* Able to get along well with others in a team environment.

* Industry knowledge of trends and designs.


Equipment and Applications


Working knowledge of MS Office including Word, Excel, Power Point,


Bachelors Degree in construction or engineering, or equal experience is a plus


Required experience:


3-5 Years

Minimum of five years of successful sales experience, including two years in the commercial construction program industry.


Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements


Willingness to travel and work in a nationwide team of professionals


Proven ability to drive and achieve sales goals
