Regional Operations Director - Nashville Regional Operations Directors are empowered to create a strong culture aligned with Red Robin's BURGER values and an environment that encourages teamwork, pride and a winning attitude. Position is responsible for directing a group of company-owned restaurants within a geographic or otherwise defined area. Directly manages Restaurant General Managers to ensure compliance with applicable business unit policies, practices and objectives. Position is responsible for supporting and ensuring that all area restaurants operate within Red Robin Business Health Review Guidelines, while meeting/exceeding sales and profitability objectives established during the budgeting process. Please note, this position will be required to reside in Nashville, TN. Essential Functions: Leadership of a large region of Red Robin restaurants (typically 6 to 10 individual locations) Hire, Coach, and Mentor Restaurant Leadership Team. Continually assesses quality of individual restaurant operations. Provides timely communications to General Managers on business goals and/or changes that impact their restaurant. Measures and provides counsel on improving operational performance. Supports and advises the General Manager on MIT Training and Management Development. Provides direction to improve the pace of team and individual development. Executes regular on-site evaluations of the Business Health Review, Service and Quality standards with the General Manager and Management Team to ensure guest satisfaction. Influences from afar communicating company vision, setting expectations, following up, praise, coach, and accountability. Supervises/Delivers management performance evaluations on a period basis to ensure development of all managers. Responsible for onboarding of new MITs, monitoring training progress, and supporting the transition to the home restaurant location. Valued Partner between the field (Team Members/Guests) and the Restaurant Support Center departments. Organizes professional development opportunities, quality circles to gather valuable feedback, and quarterly BURGER meetings to promote knowledge sharing. Budget and profit responsibility and ensuring cost control. Responsible for developing local restaurant marketing strategies for all area restaurants. Responsible for supporting General Managers around staffing needs and completion of Red Robin's Hourly Training programs. Is responsible for establishing Succession Planning for their Region for all levels of Supervision. Ensures all Managers are Serve Safe Certified per local Health regulations. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Strong leadership, coaching, and teaching skills Excellent interpersonal communications and presentation skills Ability to positively influence and lead through others Self-motivated individual with the ability to solve complex problems Proven track record and success managing multiple units/restaurants Experience working in a full service, multi-unit environment Combination of front of the house and heart of the house leadership experience Proven track record in successfully training and developing people Experience with kitchen thru-put (efficiency) processes in a multi-unit environment Experience and proven track record in managing a budget and cost controls to increase revenue and profitability Ability to work well and partner with others in a highly team-oriented environment 90% field-based, including frequent restaurant visits, and 10% administrative Other duties as assigned Serve Safe Certified Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required Minimum 5 years of successful restaurant operations experience preferred Compensation Range: $0.00 - $0.00 Red Robin is an Equal Opportunity & E-Verify Employer Apply Now
